Lucy Place is a producer and development consultant based out of Los Angeles, CA.

With a career spanning 15 years, I am a former NBCUniversal development executive with both production and development bonafides. My work has been instrumental to projects developed, sold, and produced for HBO, Netflix, NBCUniversal, Facebook, Discovery+, History, YouTube, Comedy Central, PBS, and notably Peacock’s Good One: A Show About Jokes, produced by Seth Meyers and starring Mike Birbiglia (named one of NPR’s 2024 Favorite Specials).

I’ve been fortunate to direct Olympic equestrians and produce segments for shows like In Search Of with Zachary Quinto (go ahead, ask him about the body donation center). I have experience in television, film, and digital, including: comedy and groundbreaking live talk with Chelsea Handler (Chelsea) for over 100 episodes of the first live streaming talk show ever, on Netflix; documentary (Good One); food and travel (projects with Tastemade, Discovery+, Food Network); investigative / sci fi (In Search Of); history (Who Do You Think You Are?, How Sex Changed the World) - all featuring high caliber celebrity talent.

In my free time, I am an active member of the Los Angeles Conservancy and their Last Remaining Seats film festival committee, working closely with their audience engagement subcommittee. I am also a card carrying member and volunteer at the American Cinematheque.

Now, I am collaborating with various production companies, agencies, and creatives to architect their ideas - whether it’s holistic brand identity or the impression they want to make on a singular project.

Let’s build something undeniable.
